This series is specifically dedicated to a very special US Army veteran and family member, Jim Austin. Jim’s military journey and love for music unfolds through this shirt, a canvas that celebrates his roots in the Old North State. The series pays homage to Jim’s military service, with a nod to his enlistment in the US Army with the Operational Camouflage Pattern in the words of Twelfth State on the front. The American flag on the left sleeve, is a symbol of his service far from home. Finally, Jim’s love for music is celebrated on the shirt through the music note on the right sleeve; giving nods to the changing beats of the decades.

In November 2023, Jim received a diagnosis that would alter the course of his retirement. ALS, a formidable adversary, has brought new challenges for Jim and his wife of 26 years, Beth. Yet, with the same resilience that defined his military service and DJ career, Jim faces this battle with courage and determination.
